Leaving Prison for Good

Lecture and discussion series covering a range of issues concerning the NZ criminal justice system, with a particular focus on the increasing prison population and the challenges this presents.  Five sessions with five different speakers starting on Thursday 22nd February, 7.30pm, with Alastair Riach, Assistant Regional Commissioner, Department of Corrections, on ‘Creating lasting change by breaking the cycle of reoffending.’ Then four consecutive Thursdays from 12th April, with a final round-table discussion on Thursday 10th May on opportunities for the voluntary sector to support those caught up in the justice system. Cost $10 for the series to cover costs and to offer a koha to guest speakers.
