Our intention is to offer our local and wider community opportunities to ‘belong’ and opportunities for ‘meaningful participation’. We seek to provide you with opportunities for intellectual, spiritual and practical engagement with themes and issues many of us find important.
Being a safe place to explore, to belong, to grow and to change is a high priority for us.
The Community of St Luke affirms its commitment to being an inclusive, nurturing community where all may feel safe and accepted, free from coercion and judgmental attitudes.

We especially want to emphasis this in light of the resolution passed by the Presbyterian General Assembly placing restrictions on people in de facto heterosexual or in gay or lesbian relationships. St Lukes dissented from that decision both in 2004 and in 2006.
We look forward to seeing you and to you sharing with us in making a difference to people, society, and to the religious and spiritual quest through honest enquiry, good humour, warm compassion, commitment to diversity and openness to new perspectives.
