Lent Week 4 - Some Thoughts on Almsgiving

Rev Glynn Cardy talks about how giving (like love) is something that is integral to the spiritual life. It is like breathing, a sign that we are spiritually alive.

He goes on to talk about some of complexities of giving when there is so much need, and giving when there are sharp divisions of wealth, and about the charity and justice models of almsgiving - both about empowerment, both requiring long-term commitment, and both undergirded by a vision of a just, egalitarian world.
